3. PROJECTS
3.1. THE STUDY OF URBAN FORM IN PORTUGAL
This is a book on the study of urban form in Portugal mainly developed by its founding members that has been published in 2015 by UPORTO Editorial. The first part of the book is an overview on Portuguese urban morphology, making evident the three disciplinary backgrounds that are more relevant in the national context: historical, geographical, and architectural. The second part focuses on a set of specific morphological approaches, including space syntax, cellular automata and agent based modeling. Finally, the third part of the book explores the relationships between the morphological analysis and the design of the contemporary city.
