2. ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The Revista de Morfologia Urbana (RMU) publishes peer reviewed content on urban morphology. Its main goal is the publication of high-quality articles which report leading edge research on the urban form and structure of cities and on the main agents and processes of urban transformation. It aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in fields concerned with the built environment, including architecture, geography, history and town planning. It has a clear focus on the Portuguese-language world (almost 300 million people).
The RMU is owned and managed by the ‘Portuguese-language Network of Urban Morphology’ (ISSN 2182-7214). It is published on-line, biannually, in July and in December. It is in Portuguese language; it has a bilingual website and English language abstracts and titles. The RMU has references in Roman script. The journal is structured as follows: i) editorial comment; ii) scientific papers (the core of the journal); iii) viewpoints; iv) reports; and finally, v) notes and notices.
The RMU is open access.The use and reproduction of contents is authorized provided the original work is properly cited. Copyright of any text in the journal is retained by the author.
The RMU is driven by high ethical and professional standards (see 3. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement).
The Revista de Morfologia Urbana is indexed in Latindex.
